Cheryl Baker started her professional career back in 1975 and represented the UK in the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest with her group Co-Co. Their song was ’The Bad Old Days‘ which, unfortunately, only came 10th!

Three years later, however, she was part of the group Bucks Fizz who went on to win the competition with ’Making Your Mind Up‘. Bucks Fizz continued to have a successful career with more than 20 hit singles, including three number ones.

Her TV presenting career began in 1984 (which she did whilst still in Bucks Fizz). She has presented more than 20 programmes ranging from children’s cookery to consumer programmes, but she is probably best known for presenting ’Record Breakers‘ which she did for eleven years.

Cheryl has appeared many times in pantomime, but has recently trodden the boards in plays and musicals. Currently she is appearing as ’Vi Moore‘ in a production of ’Footloose - The Musical‘ at the Novello Theatre in the Aldwych, London.
